Swallowbird, Swallowbird
Sitting on the ledge
WHO clipped your wings?
Lift up your head.
Eagles have landed
With boots
on the ground
Searching every cave
And crevice
That you may be found.
They’re here
With an army
That doesn’t compromise
Look up.
Look up!
And see the sunrise.
It’s been a long time
Since you’ve seen
The light of day.
What happened to you
Is NOT okay.
Look up.
Look up!
Look towards the Light.
It’s now ‘day’
And the end
Of your ‘night’.
